It was a delight to be part of any golf matches with Letty in the 70’s when playing in the Cape Women’s Golf League and Bass River GC. The New Horizon’s Band audiences always had standing ovations following Letty’s wonderful clarinet renditions of favorite songs from the past.

Dear Corey and family,  I was so sad to hear of Letty's passing and send my deepest sympathy.  How I enjoyed hearing her play the clarinet!

By love, they are remembered, and in memory they live.

Letty was a member of our Compass Community at Forestdale Park for just a short time but she made quite an impression on both staff and her fellow residents alike.  There was no rival to her musical trivia knowledge nor the seemingly endless parade of visitors who had crossed paths and still remembered her fondly.  Her compassion for others and vivid storytelling of Everett and Malden in the early years will remain cherished memories that won't soon be forgotten.

My heart was broken. I was blessed to be one of Letty's best friends. Letty lied on the Cape around the corner from me.We have been friends since 1969 when she joined Bass River Golf course. We played in the League and played several times a week together. I cannot tell you of all the times we were together. I would walk around the corner in the afternoon to have a coffee or tea. My Grandchildren would come with me and she always had popcorn or candies for them. I am sorry I cannot be there to hug you all. Thank you to the wife who brought her down this past fall to see me. I just had a foot operation and have to keep my foot elevated. To the Family and Friends I send my Sympathy  and may she forever rest in Peace in the arms of our Lord. She is probly up there trying to tell them how to run things better. All my Love and Prayers   Mary Lou Karras
