Adele Arlene (Farese) Chambers

Adele Chambers of Lynnfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughters and grandchildren following a brief illness.

Adele was a native of Everett, the daughter of Attorney Alfred Paul Farese Sr. and Josephine Jean Farese. Known to family and friends by the nickname "Princess," she grew up in Everett's close-knit Italian community, affectionately known as "The Village." Her early years were filled with the love and companionship of her many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom were raised together.

In school, Adele excelled in English and history. After graduating from Everett High School, she took a path that was uncommon for young women at the time, moving far from home to attend the University of Mississippi, where she had extended family. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Ole Miss.

While at Ole Miss, Adele met the love of her life, Richard Chambers. She loved to tell the story of how, during her early days at the university, she prayed for God to send her "a nice Catholic boy." Soon afterward, she was introduced to Dickie—a nice Catholic boy from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. From the moment they met, they were inseparable. After graduation, Richard followed Adele back to Everett, and they were married in 1962. They shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, spending most of their lives in the home Dickie built for their family in Lynnfield, where they raised their three children: Judee, Richard, and Jean Marie.

Before moving to Lynnfield, Adele taught first and second grade at the Lincoln School in Revere and St. Anthony School in Everett. She had a special gift for teaching children to read. After becoming a homemaker, she remained deeply involved in her community. She taught CCD at St. Maria Goretti Parish and volunteered with The Home for Little Wanderers, served on the Newcomers Club (president), the Couples Club (president) and Concerts on the Common Committee in Lynnfield.

Adele and Dickie loved to travel and shared many memorable adventures with family and close friends. Although she enjoyed an active and fulfilling life, her greatest joy was being "Nana” to her five grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them and took special pride in teaching each of them to read.

Adele was predeceased by her beloved husband, Attorney Richard Chambers, and by her parents, Attorney Alfred Paul Farese Sr. and Josephine Jean Farese.

She is survived by her three children: her daughter, Judee Chambers Walsh; her son, Attorney Richard Chambers and his wife, Lisa; and her daughter, Doctor Jean Marie Tabit and her husband, the Honorable Salim Tabit. She is also survived by her five beloved grandchildren: James Walsh, Catalina Jean Tabit, Isabel Grace Tabit, Richard Cullen Chambers, and Victoria Adele Chambers.

A private family service will be held in honor of Adele Chamber's life.
