Alfred Mietus

Alfred T. Mietus passed away suddenly at his home in Everett. Beloved son of the late Alfred E. and Mary (Pokornicki) Mietus. Predeceased by his siblings Paul Mietus and Maryann Rindone both of Everett. Born on June 25, 1947 in New Bedford, MA. Moved to the Boston area after high school and remained there since. Was a long time resident of Everett, MA. Alfred graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA., earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a loyal supporter of the college and a member of Crest Society. He completed a series of exams to earn and be awarded a Radio-Telephone Operator License by The Federal Communications Commission. Worked as a Senior Electronic Technician/ Electrical Engineer in the Cambridge and Boston area for nearly 40 years on products from audio/video equipment to trident missiles for the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed traveling, theatre and Broadway shows, and collecting old time radio and TV shows. Alfred is survived by may cousins across the country.
