Antonia “Toni” Drigo, a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, partner and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born under the sign of Virgo, Toni embodied everything her sign represents: Kindness, loyalty, and a giving heart.
Born on the Caribbean island of Dominica, lovingly known as the “Nature Isle,” Antonia carried the spirit of her homeland within her. Like the island’s lush mountains, she stood strong and grounded. Rooted in faith, family, and love. Her laughter flowed freely like Dominica’s waterfalls, refreshing every soul around her. Her warmth radiated like the island’s golden sun, and her beauty (both inside and out) mirrored its vibrancy. Everywhere she went, Antonia brought a piece of the Nature Isle with her. Graceful, nurturing, and full of life’s natural rhythm.
Antonia was a radiant soul who made every space brighter just by being in it. A true social butterfly, she was known for her contagious laughter, her big personality, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and loved. Whether she was on the dance floor or in the kitchen sharing a meal, she brought people together with joy, humor, and compassion.
As a mother, she was nurturing and protective. Always putting her children first and offering guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love. As a sister and aunt, she was the heartbeat of her family, the one who kept everyone connected. As a grandmother, she adored her grandson and found joy in every smile and moment they shared. As a friend, she was loyal, vibrant, and genuine. Antonia was the kind of person whose laughter could fill a room and whose honesty came from a place of love. As a partner, she was devoted and supportive, standing by her loved one through every joy and challenge, creating a bond built on care, companionship, and understanding.
Antonia “Toni” Drigo, is survived by her mother, Bernardine Michael; her treasured daughters, Shawnté Walls and Sashae Walls; her cherished grandson, Kervin Edouard Jr.; her loving godchild, Crystal Egbunike; her adored nieces, Tanicia Drigo and Taryn Drigo; and her precious grandnieces, Nova and Lyla. She also leaves behind her supportive eight sisters and attentive seven brothers; her kind-hearted “bonus daughter,” Yasmine Akib; her partner Robert; and her dearest lifelong friends, Oby Egbunike and Elcie who stood by her through every season of life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Pascual Drigo, as well as her devoted grandparents, Cordelia Alfred and Stafford Alfred.
She lived her life with grace, strength, and generosity. Always giving, always loving, and always dancing to the rhythm of her own joy. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Like a butterfly, Antonia has taken flight. Free, radiant, and transformed. Though we can no longer see her wings, we will forever feel the gentle brush of her spirit reminding us that love never truly dies.
Antonia Drigo's spirit now dances among the stars: Forever loved, forever remembered.
