Beverly J (MacCrea) Krusemark

Beverly “Bev” Krusemark (MacCrea), 88, passed away Monday, March 8. Beverly was born and raised in Everett, graduated from Simmons College in Boston, then moved to nine states throughout her life as the wife of a Navy man and then corporate manager. When her husband Kyle was disabled at 35 while living near Syracuse, she obtained her Master’s Degree from Syracuse University and became a teacher to support the family. Once her children were adults, the couple moved to California where she continued to teach until Kyle passed at 59 in 1993, then retired and moved back to her roots in Massachusetts in 1996. In her younger years, Beverly loved her backyard garden, bicycling, and travel, especially to her beloved France. Once retired and living in Melrose, she truly enjoyed reading, shopping, playing her piano, and having coffee out several times a week, but specifically enjoyed places on Main Street and while reading a book at Barnes and Noble. Beverly is predeceased by her husband Kyle, parents Otis and Mildred MacCrea of Everett, and survived by her two children Steven (Jan) of Newburyport and LeeAnne of Las Vegas; five grandchildren Zach (Ariela), Vanessa, Elyana, Justin, and Jackie; five great grandchildren Kylee, Austynn, Mildred (Millie), Abigail (Abby), and Beatrice (Birdie); her sister Lois Mackey (Bruce) of Melrose, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. Due to circumstances there will be no service, and burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Beverly’s cause of choice is her great granddaughter Austynn who has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and requires a trained Service Dog.
