Carl Joseph McBride, 66, of Tewksbury passed away on Friday April 25,2025 surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents Loretta (Rappa) and Frank McBride of Everett, his brothers John of Everett and Richard of Merrimack NH. He is survived by his brother Jim of Everett, brother Michael and his partner Marnie of Wilmington, sister Loretta of Revere, brother Bill and his wife Raquel of Merrimack NH, sister Kathy and her husband Jim of Tewksbury, sister Dotty of Maine and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carl had many interests in life, including automobiles, planes, World War II, Star Trek, history and ocean liners, particularly the Queen Elizabeth II and the Titanic. He recently attended the Boston Titanic Exhibit and happily spent the time telling other attendees and his friend Marjorie Ricci everything he knew about the disaster. Carl loved all animals especially his cats Abby, Jasmine, Amber “Boopy” and Tigger “the old man”. He spent countless hours swimming and playing fetch with his K-9 companion Quinn. Carl loved being outdoors camping, skiing, and riding bikes. He loved to read, draw and write. Carl was a walking encyclopedia on his favorite topics. He spent his time helping his family and friends and sharing his vast knowledge on many subjects. These words were the last written in his journal.
"I’ll be seeing you in every lovely summers day, in everything that’s light and gay. I’ll always think of you this way. I’ll find you in the morning sun and when the night is new. I’ll be looking at the moon, but I’ll be seeing you."
Celebration of Life will be Sunday May 4, 2025 from 2-4 pm. Donations can be made is his memory to the ASPCA.
