Catherine "Kay" Rose (Caramanica) Knowlton

Of Peabody, formerly of Everett passed away in the comfort of her home on November 3rd. Daughter of the late Angelo and Florence Caramanica of Everett. Loving mother of Karen Phillips and her husband Joseph of Wakefield and Nancy Sutera and her husband John of Peabody. Beloved grandmother of Ashley Sutera and her boyfriend Michael Farnkoff, Alexis Ragucci and her husband Mathew of Saugus, and Allison Sutera and her boyfriend James Tarantino. Cherished great-grandmother of John Luca and Noah Ragucci. Loving sister of the late Robert Caramanica and his wife Rose of Everett, the late Edward Caramanica of Everett, the late Frederick Caramanica and his late wife Mary of Quincy, and the late William Caramanica and his wife Ann of Revere. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

As a young girl Kay grew up in Everett and graduated from Everett High School. She worked for many years as a clerk for the city of Everett Fire Department. After retiring in 2001, she happily spent her time doting on her grandchildren, and spending her evenings watching her favorite old Hollywood Films.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the family has chosen a private viewing for the safety and protection of those who loved her. Family and friends may attend an interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Everett on Friday November 6th at 11:00 a.m. Please adhere to the CDC and the Massachusetts guidelines regarding social distancing and the requirement of masks.
