Diane Louise Navis passed away surrounded by those who loved her most. A quiet soul with a feisty spirit, Diane was never afraid to stand up for the people she cared about. Her heart was as big as her smile — warm, genuine, and filled with love for the simple joys in life.
She was known for her deep affection for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, mom’s meatloaf dinners, envelopes full of cash, and endless card games played at the kitchen table. Purple was her color — vibrant, bold, and full of life — just like her. She adored Joey McIntyre and New Kids on the Block, a lifelong fan who never stopped singing along or believing in a little bit of magic.
Diane is survived by her loving parents, Edward and Violet McLaughlin of Everett, and by her devoted siblings: Joseph Navis and his wife Susan of Tewksbury, Laurie Radzikowski Navis of Everett, Derek McLaughlin and his wife Liz of Tampa, FL, Kimberly Harrington and her husband Jeffrey of Tewksbury, Michael McLaughlin and his wife Deanna of Wakefield, and Matthew McLaughlin of Everett. She was the proud and devoted aunt of Justin Navis and Benjamin Harrington — her nephews were truly her world.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her lifelong best friend, Rebecca “Becky” Vacheresse, whose friendship was a constant source of laughter, comfort, and strength throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane’s memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, reflecting her lifelong kindness and belief in bringing joy to others.
A gentle heart and a fierce protector of those she loved — Diane’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
