It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of loving husband, father and grandfather, Edward George Gimas, a long-time resident of Everett, MA. Surrounded by family, he peacefully passed at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was 92 years old.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette A. Gimas of Everett, his son Edward G. Gimas Jr and wife Christine of Fruitland Park, FL, daughters Lisa M. Gimas of Hudson NH, and Karen E. Gimas of Natick MA.
He is also survived by his four, dearly loved grandchildren, Michaela, Christopher, Gabriella and Madison.
He is proceeded in death by his mother, Dorothy Gimas and his father, George Gimas of Malden, MA.
Ed was born in Boston and met his beautiful wife, Jeanette Marchese there. They were married in 1959 and celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on October 25th, 2025.
He served in the army during the Korean war from 1953 to 1955.
He was an avid fan of all Boston sports and enjoyed going to live events, as well as playing cribbage, chess, bowling and going on cruises with his family. He also enjoyed waking up early on Sunday mornings to make the gravy for our family dinners.
We will love and miss you forever.
