It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth Censullo, a loving mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend, who left us on February 20, 2025 due to surgery complications.
Elizabeth was born June 2, 1956 in Everett, Massachusetts to William Marsinelli and Martha (Willy) Marsinelli and was the baby of 18 children. She was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, James Censullo, who passed away eight years ago. Together, they shared a love that was deep and enduring—a bond that never broke - even through death.
She is survived by her son James Censullo and his partner Dawn Jacobsmeyer, her daughter Lisa (Censullo) D’Ambrosio and her husband Benny D’Ambrosio and her son Joseph Censullo and his partner Valeria Arias. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sofia and Emilio D’Ambrosio who she adored. Her sisters Charlotte, and Susan and brothers Vinny, John, and Tony along with countless nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was a dedicated healthcare worker providing care to elderly patients. She worked many years at Woodland Manor in Everett as well as a home health attendant for many elderly clients. She treated each of her patients as part of her own family; cooking them homemade meals and sharing her life with them.
Elizabeth was a devoted wife and mother. Our home was always open to who ever needed a warm meal, cup of tea, glass of coke or just someone to talk to.
She filled our home with love, support and Beatles music.
She was a constant source of strength and love to all who knew her.
Elizabeth was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, her long car rides up north, reading and had an obsession with true crime. She was adored by her dogs Molly and her grandfur babies Abbey, Rosie, Blue, Sweets and Pennie.
Elizabeth’s passing came far too soon, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. A woman of incredible resilience and strength, she faced life’s challenges with unwavering determination. Her sense of humor was one of a kind and she had an uncanny ability to make those around her laugh, even in the toughest of times. Elizabeth's sharp tongue, loving heart and boldness were just a few of the qualities that made her so loved by her family and friends.
Though her departure was unexpected, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her soulmate, James. Together again, they are at peace, watching over their children and grandchildren, and continuing to inspire us with their enduring love.
Elizabeth’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. A memorial service will be held on March 5, 2025 at Rocco Salvatore & Sons Funeral at 4:00 - 7:00pm where we will come together to honor and celebrate the remarkable woman she was. Her family will deliver a memorial eulogy at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association.
Rest in peace, Elizabeth. Your laughter and strength will forever be with us, and you will always be deeply missed and never forgotten.
“And we all shine on like the moon and stars and the sun”
