Giovanna “Genny” Licata Alba entered into eternal rest at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday August 4th, 2026. She was 95 years old born in Sciacca, Sicily on June 12th, 1931. She was a devoted daughter to the late Giuseppina & Vincent Licata, beloved and devoted wife of the late Giuseppe Alba for 49 years. Giuseppe has been waiting for 24 years for his bride to join him. She was a devoted mother to Josephine Sclafani and her husband Gaspare Sclafani, Caterina Sabella and her husband Vito Sabella, Rosanne DeSimone and her husband Gino Desimone Jr and Joanne Alba-LaMonica and her husband Joseph LaMonica. She was a beloved sister to the late Caterina Maniscalo, the late Vito Licata, the late Joe Licata, Nancy Reino, the late Sal Licata and the late Tony Licata. She was a devoted and cherished nonna to the late Joey Sclafani, Tony Sabella, Michael Sclafani, Joey Sabella, Cristina Sclafani, Alessandra Sabella, Regina DeSimone, Haley LaMonte, Gino DeSimone III, Joseph LaMonica, Gianni LaMonica and Matthew LaMonica. She was a devoted and cherished great grandmother to Nicolas Sclafani, Gabriella Sclafani, GennaroSclafani, August Gonzalez, Luigi LaMonte, Angelo Sclafani and Emmie LaMonte.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Giovanna’s funeral Tuesday August 11th, 2026 9:30AM-12PM at Rocco’s Funeral Home 331 Main St Everett, MA. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.
