Iracy Mattos

Iracy Mattos, a resident of Malden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at the age of 95.

Born in Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on July 13, 1930, Iracy will be fondly remembered for her warm smile and affectionate nature. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else.

Iracy found joy in life's simple pleasures: spending quiet afternoons at the garden, challenging herself with word puzzles, and watching her beloved novelas (Brazilian soap operas). She treasured engaging in meaningful conversations with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, and keeping in touch with her long-distance relatives. An avid and talented seamstress, she used her skills to create beautiful items for those she loved.

Iracy will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A private family service will be held to honor her life and memory.
