James Kirby

James C. Kirby of Everett passed away peacefully at High Pointe Hospice House on April 24, 2024. Husband of the late Bertha R. (Watson) Kirby. Beloved step-father of Stanley and his wife Pamela Stanevicz of Brockton, Mary and her husband John Kowalsky of Carmel, Indiana and the late Michelle Stanevicz. Cherished Papa of Amy and her husband Cort Howell of Indiana, Jason and his wife Ann Kowalsky of Lynn, Megan Stanevicz of Brockton, Lauren and her husband Stephen Halifax and Danielle Stanevicz of Everett. Great-grandfather of Adam, Colin, Ryan & Grace. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. James retired from the United States Post Office and then went to work for the city of Everett as a crossing guard at the Webster School for many years. He loved singing and DJ-ing. Doo-Wop Music and sang online to many Facebook members.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in his name to High Pointe House 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, 12:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery 302 Elm St., Everett, MA 02149.
