DeSisto, Jean Elizabeth (Jenkinson)
Of Portsmouth, NH (formerly of Everett, MA) on August 17, age 72, after a valiant battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents, Earl and Camille Jenkinson. (Amoroso) Beloved wife of Joseph III. Loving mother of Joseph IV and his wife Paige, and their daughters Eliza and Jocelyn of Walpole and Jennifer Campea and her husband Frank of Wakefield and their children Amelia and Brendan. Sister of James, John, and Jay (Vici). She was predeceased by her brother Jeffrey (Karen). Jean will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jean fought so hard to her last minute; it would be wrong to say that she lost her battle. She was determined to stay with her husband and family by remaining positive – more positive than we could ever have asked her to be -- showed unbelievable resilience and perseverance that her family will carry with them forever.
Jean was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, a generous Nanny, and a trustworthy friend. She was most happy when her house was filled with friends and family, celebrating holidays, and feeding the neighborhood. Jean showered the people she loved with their favorite treats, gifts, and her generous hospitality.
After retiring from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Jean enjoyed working as an usher at the TD Garden with her husband and many friends.
The Order of the Eastern Star was very near and dear to her heart and she was a member for over 50 years, serving as Worthy Grand Matron from 2000-2001.
