Jean (Madden) Goss

Jean (Madden) Goss, 93, of Salem, MA, beloved mother and nana, went home to be with the Lord on
October 27, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born in Chelsea, MA, on July 16, 1929, the daughter of
Francis Madden and Florence Graham. Jean was a Registered Nurse at Whidden Memorial Hospital in
Everett for almost 15 years and found immense fulfillment in her role as a caregiver.
Jean loved Jesus and was a very involved member of First Baptist Church of Everett where she played
piano and taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed spending time in the White Mountains with
her family and was a gifted painter.
She is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Harold Goss. She is survived by her son, K. David Goss
and his wife Becky of Beverly, MA, and seven grandchildren, Cheri (Alexei) Grishin, Amie (Nate) Hudak,
David Goss, Heather Goss (Adam Silva), Bethany Goss, Jennifer Goss, and Graham Goss. Jean also
has six great grandchildren, Alisa, Natalia, and Luka Grishin and Amira, Evan, and Graham Hudak.
Services will be held at Salvatore Rocco & Son’s Funeral Home, 331 Main Street in Everett. A viewing for
family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 3 from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be held on
Friday, November 4 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s name to World Vision to honor her
passion for helping children in need and sharing the Word of God.
