Jose Melara Obituary

Jose A. Melara of La Reina, Chalatenango El Salvador passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on January 10, 2025, after a brief illness. Jose was predeceased by his loving wife Maria Dominga Maldonado in 2009, and his son Jose H. Melara (Clara Cal) in 2011. Jose leaves behind his children Julio C. Melara (Alicia Melara), Hector A. Melara, Jesus I. Melara (Delia Melara), Jose U Melara (Lydia Alvarado), Melida S. Melara (Alvaro Alvarez), Juan F. Melara (Irma Dinora), Carlos A. Melara (Nolva Melara), Berado R. Melara (Esther Melara), Manual I. Melara (Ana Melara), Reina G. Alas (Roberto Alas). Jose is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, also his nieces and nephews.He moved to the United States in March of 2004 and lived a full and happy life with his children and extended family. He loved telling stories and making people laugh. He was a devoted Catholic, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed. 

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff and friends he made at Element Care of Lynn for their devotion and care of Jose. He enjoyed playing bingo, coloring, making crafts, and sharing his masterpieces with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
