Julia Patricia Ireton, lovingly known as “Pat”. She was the eldest of four siblings of Irish immigrant parents. She will be remembered by her loving sister Mary MacDonald and sister-in-law Jenny Kerrigan, as well as her two predeceased brothers, James (“Bubby”) and John. In 1953, she married John (“Jack”) Ireton and went on to have three children, Paul, Mary and Mark. Julia will be reunited with her husband and two sons in heaven at last.
She was the loving mother-in-law to Michael, grandmother to Sean, Scott, Victoria, Jack and Christian and, as of recently, just became a great-grandmother to Nora Julia. Named after her great-grandmother, Nora Julia entered the world on February 20th, just a day after Julia’s 93rd birthday. She was a most loved aunt to Susan and her husband Patrick, along with several more nieces and nephews.
Julia was very fortunate to have developed wonderful friendships with her “66 Main Street” friend group as well as her favorite nurse John DeBassio and caretaker Sue Leonard.
She mostly remembered her childhood friends of Dowse Street, including the Boyle and Donnelly families, particularly Mary Dahlquist, Kay Trunfio and Muriel Bunn.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks to consider a donation to the Northeast Arc out of Danvers, MA:
