Madeline Doris "Maddy" (DeFilippo) Vertullo
Of Saugus, formerly of Everett passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, age 88 at the North End Rehabilitation Center in Boston. Born and raised in Everett; daughter of the late Vincenzo and Filomena DeFilippo. Beloved wife of the late Frank N. Vertullo who died in 2013. Loving mother of Francine Vozzella of Everett, Sandra Cavallaro and husband Robert of Newburyport and Marlene Pietrantonio and husband Peter of Everett and the late Diane Pietrantonio and husband Paul of Melrose. The proud mama of Frank Vozzella of Everett, Jonathan Pietrantonio and wife Lindsey of Melrose, Ross Pietrantonio and wife Carlie of Everett, Zachary Pietrantonio and wife Niki of Stoneham, Courtney Jackson and husband Judah of Everett, Francesca Vozzella of Boston and Ryan Pietrantonio of Everett. The beloved Nonnie of Jackson, Landon, Sophia, Livia and Camden. Proceeded in death by her siblings; Antonio DeFilippo and wife MaryLou of Wellesley, Gerald DeFilippo and wife Judy of Hingham, James "Defa" DeFilippo of Everett and Dora DeFilippo of Everett. Madeline dedicated 25 years to the Melrose Wakefield Hospital as a switch board operator. Madeline spent many years entertaining her family for holidays and social gatherings. Proud to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren gather at her house. 

In light of the COVID-19, all funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Hospital for Children or Alzheimers Association in her name.
