Marie (Russo) Tassone

Marie (Russo) Tassone of Saugus, formally of Everett passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Jan. 24. Daughter of the late Pino and Josephine (Elibero) Russo. Beloved wife of 65 years of Frank Tassone. Devoted mother of Donna Tassone and her partner William Barber of Lynnfield; Debra O’Brien and her husband Steve of Groton; Darlene Brown and her husband Michael of Melrose. Loving ‘Gram’ of seven fabulous grandsons Stephen O’Brien, Sgt. Marc O’Brien, David O’Brien, Michael Brown, Matthew Brown, Marcus Brown and Maxwell Brown. Sister of Grace Valeri and her late husband Tino of Everett; the late Anthony Russo and his late wife Carol; Carol Jackson of Orlando, FL and Edward Russo and his wife Marilyn of South Yarmouth. The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Mary Kobusingye and Billy Mbabazi for their devotion and care of Marie. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marie's visiting hours in the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett, Friday, Jan. 29 from 9-10:30 a.m. with COVID-19 protocols: social distancing, face covering, and limited capacity followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 489 Broadway, Everett, at 11 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
