Michael Frederick Balzotti “New York Mike”

Of  Everett, age 94 on April 29th. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Olivieri). Devoted father of Michael and his wife Carol of Everett. Loving brother of Salvatore Balzotti, Evelyn Olivari, Joseph Balzotti and the late Kathryn Mikutajcus, Marie Keeley, and James Balzotti. Survived by his sister-in-law Mary Olivieri, Bonnie Balzotti, and brother in law of the late Anthony Olivieri. Cherished grandfather of Michael Balzotti and his wife Courtney of  Klamath Falls, Oregon and Stefanie McKanas and her husband Leon of North Andover, MA. Loving great grandfather of Michael Aiden, Luke Aren, Dylan and Gracie. Michael will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Michael was proud to serve his country during WWII as a medic in the US Marine Corps. He worked as a boilermaker at the Boston Naval Shipyard until he retired and then later on worked for the City of Everett. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with the members of the New Bridge Café and 5-2 Club in Chelsea. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Care Dimensions for his recent hospice care. 

In light of the recent development with COVID-19, all funeral services will be private. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
