Nancy Lepore Obituary

Nancy Janet Lepore, 92, of Everett, MA, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her parents Raphael "Freddy" Lepore and Carmella DeFeo Lepore, as well as her brother Ralph J. Lepore. She is survived by her niece Kristen Perkins and her husband Roland Perkins, niece Meredith Ballou, niece Noelle Yeomalakis and her husband Michael Yeomalakis, niece Jennifer Lepore, nephew Mark Lepore,  nephew Ralph Lepore Jr., many great and great-great nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Cynthia Cole and Naida Lepore, and many cousins.

A lifelong resident of Everett, Nancy was a standout student and graduate of Everett High School, class of 1951. She was a great friend and neighbor to many over the years, and true to her nature took great satisfaction in helping others in the community - with career and financial guidance, life coaching, finding employment, advising city leaders, and occasionally dabbling in match-making.

Nancy remained in Everett as she embarked on a forty-plus year career with AT&T in Boston as an Executive Secretary. She was a staunchly proud employee of "the phone company" and is remembered for her loyalty, professionalism, sense of humor, keen fashion sense, and always going the extra mile (even showing up to work during the blizzard of '78). Nancy made many lifelong friends during her career, and even in retirement assumed the role of point person and advisor to fellow retirees in deciphering company shareholder information and voting activities.

An avid traveler, Nancy saw much of the world, from Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean islands, to Hawaii and beyond, with a special affinity for Italy and her family trips to Las Vegas. Still, she always maintained a lasting fondness for the city of Boston and enjoyed all it had to offer - dining, dancing, the history and culture, shopping, the theater, rubbing elbows with local sports celebrities - she was a true social butterfly.

Nancy was fiercely proud of her Italian heritage and large, extended family. Family gatherings, holidays, and events were always sacred to her, and her exuberance for festivity and celebration was infectious. Nancy's caring, generosity, and devotion to her family was unrivaled. She cared for both of her parents at home in their later years, while maintaining her career, and routinely providing support and assistance to other family members and friends.

Always inviting and hospitable, Nancy enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table talking over coffee as much as she did getting dressed up for a night on the town. She took great pleasure in someone at her front door stopping in for a visit, and cherished her lunch and coffee dates with friends. A trained classical pianist, exceptional story-teller and conversationalist, with an infectious laugh, Nancy was a natural entertainer. She was a true never-a-dull-moment presence - from her often hysterical observations, quirky superstitions, and spontaneous song creations, to her quick wit and envelope-pushing quips and one-liners.

The strong, independent career woman ahead of her time, Nancy put relentless effort into every challenge and endeavor, big or small. Her indominable spirit, unwavering optimism, and never-give-up attitude were inspirational. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
