Richard B. Hogan “Dickie”
Of Everett, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Eileen (Catino) of 53 years. Loving father of Scott Hogan of Everett and his girlfriend Denise Guarino of Revere and Sean Hogan and his wife Dawn Marie (Nicholls) of Saugus.
Loving brother of Maureen (Hogan) Gaglione and her husband Michael of Wilmington, Barbara (Hogan) McEttrick and her husband Jim of Braintree and Arlene (Hogan) Masiello and her husband Al of Wilmington and the late Ann (Hogan) Cataldo and her late husband Louis of Hingham. Adored grandfather of Adam and his girlfriend Brooke, Krystina and her husband Cody, Jake, Kyle and Paige and great-grandfather of Liam, McKenna, Carson and Connor. Dickie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & good friends.
Dickie was a life-long resident of Everett and a 20+ year Veteran of the US Army National Guard. He was a long-time youth hockey coach who was always involved in both his sons sports and never missed a game. Dickie was a college graduate of Franklin Institute and Northeastern University, had a Civil Engineering Degree and worked in construction as a Project Manager for many years. He had a passion for music and the trumpet was his instrument of choice. He played in the Everett CYO, Everett High School Band, and 26th Infantry Division Band for the Army National Guard as well as many parades, weddings and special events. Dickie will be truly missed by all who knew him. Dad, have a cigarette and a beer on us!!
Funeral from the Salvatore Rocco & Sons Funeral Home, 331 Main Street, Everett on Saturday, September 11. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Prayer Service will immediately follow in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
