Rita Sabella Obituary

Mrs. Rita (Sutera) Sabella passed away on June 11, 2020, at the Sunrise at Garner Park Assisted Living Facility in Peabody. 

Born in Boston and raised in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Lena (Ragusa) Sutera. The longtime Everett resident was involved in the Council for the Aging. Rita spent her days with her friends from the Everett Senior Center. 

Rita is predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Alfred Sabella. She is survived by her four children: Camille Herbert and her husband Tony of Topsfield, Vincent Sabella and his wife Debra of Saugus, Alfred Sabella and his wife Gail of Peabody, and Anthony Sabella and his wife Christine of Peabody. Mrs. Sabella was the grandmother of Anthony Herbert, Brian Herbert and his wife Stephanie, Trinna Flemming, Melissa Rios, Jenifer Sabella and Alfred Sabella, Stephen Sabella and his wife Casey, Nicholas Sabella and Michael Sabella, Nicole Orlando and her husband Michael, Kristen Davis and her husband Ernest, Anthony Sabella and his wife Sally. Rita was the proud great grandmother of Bianca, Francesca, Anthony, Giulianna, Gennaro, Gianna, Brady, Jordan, Jayden, Brooklyn, Taylor, Michael, Justin, Blake, Corey, Brandon, Vincent, Ava, Lia, Gino, Adrian, Damian and Rosie. 

Rita was the sister of the late Nat Sutera and his wife Lily, Beatrice Ciulla and her husband Tony, Philip Sutera and his wife Sena, Phyllis Orlando and her husband Mike. She is survived by her siblings: Marge Marino, Kay Orlando, Jenny Ciuffo, Leo Sutera and his wife Barbara and Lucille Bonfilio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

In light of the COVID-19, all funeral services will be private.
