Robert John Sacramone, age 88, of Chelsea, MA passed away peacefully on February 15th. He was born in Everett, MA on July 12, 1937 to the late Assunta and Vincenzo Sacramone. He was predeceased by his five brothers, Frank Sacramone and his wife Angie, Dominic Sacramone and his wife Rose, Arthur Sacramone and his wife Helen, Vincent Sacramone and his wife Shirley, and Frederick Sacramone and his wife Marianne. Robert is survived by his loving wife Renate of 66 years. He was the devoted father of four children, Diane Lopes and her husband Erik, Darlene Marchant and her husband Ralph, Robert J. Sacramone II and his wife Dawn, and Michael Sacramone and his wife Marisa. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Deanna McCarthy and her husband Matthew, Noelle Sacramone and her fiance Evan Braz, Louis Marchant and his wife Madison, Jordan Lopes, and Robert J Sacramone III. Robert was also blessed to have two beloved great-grandchildren, Maeve Janny McCarthy and Jack Robert McCarthy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved, and countless friends who were like family.
After graduating Everett Vocational High School as a skilled craftsman in furniture making, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. That is where he met his one true love Renate. They later married and returned home to Everett, where they started to raise their family. Nothing was more important to him than family.
Robert was a proud family man. He loved quietly through small gestures and thoughtful acts. He was a man of principle, acting with integrity and fairness always, and instilled the same in his children. It was the foundation of what mattered most. He was a man of strong faith and conviction and lived his life with purpose in sharing his beliefs with others. He was deeply loved by all and leaves behind a heartfelt legacy.
