Ronald (Ron) Bourque passed away on Wednesday, December 8, at the age of 57. He was born in Everett, MA on November 11, 1964, to Charles and Alice Bourque. He was affectionately known by his good friends as “Gonzo.”
Ron was a veteran who served his country proudly and with honor in the United States Army as a Specialist E-4. He attended Bunker Hill Community College studying electronics and physics. Most recently, he worked as a Design Engineering Assistant where he designed and assembled digital and analog circuits.
Ron loved science fiction novels, movies, and shows. He played the guitar and had a strong appreciation for music, especially classic and heavy rock.
Ron is survived by his siblings Marie, Paul, Diane and husband James, Jack, Cindy, Buzz and wife Andrea, Laura and husband Paul, Mike and wife Cyndi, and Ed; and many nieces and nephews.
A small, family memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, at Rocco Funeral Home in Everett. Donations in Ron’s name can be made to Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital program.
