Ronald Pitts Obituary

Ronald Pitts, a devoted husband, stepfather, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 18, 1942, Ronald was known for his quiet strength, kindness, and deep love for his family. Ronald worked for many years as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service. After retiring, he continued his service to the community by delivering meals on wheels for Mystic Valley, where he was beloved by those he helped. He enjoyed spending his free time playing chess, watching sports, and taking his dog Beau for walks, embracing the simple joys of life. On August 16, 1986, Ronald married Denise, the love of his life. At the time of their marriage, Denise’s daughter, Renée, was seven years old. Though not her biological father, Ronald embraced Renée as his own and became a loving and supportive presence in her life. He was a devoted grandfather to Stella and Lola Moran, who brought him endless joy. Ronald is survived by his wife, Denise; his daughter, Dr. Renée Moran; his granddaughters, Stella and Lola Moran; his older brother, Edward and his wife Barbara ; his younger sister, Carol (her late husband Frank); and his many nieces and nephews and his loyal dog, Beau. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ronald’s memory to Mystic Valley or the MSPCA, two causes that were dear to his heart.

Ronald’s legacy of love, service, and devotion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
