Stephen John Howard, 47, of Peabody, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 11, 2025. His sudden passing leaves an ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Born in Malden on October 29, 1977, Steve was the beloved son of the late John Steven Howard and Barbara (Fenno) Howard. He grew up in Everett and graduated Malden Catholic High School.
After high school Steve pursued a career in the trades and joined the Bricklayers and Craftsman Union, where he became a skilled journeyman mason. Later, Steve and his brother Scott formed Howard Brothers Masonry, turning their shared skill and work ethic into a respected family business. In recent years, Steve went into property management, where his problem-solving abilities and people skills made him a natural.
Steve was the life of the party, the guy who made everyone laugh. His sense of humor was sharp and his stories legendary. Whether you knew him for 5 minutes or 40 years, Steve left a mark. He was always there with a helping hand or a good story. His laughter, loyalty, and light will never be forgotten.
Steve is survived by his brother Scott Howard, his cherished niece and nephew Audrey and Brett Howard, and his former sister-in-law Jenna Howard, as well as many extended family members, lifelong friends, and coworkers who became like family over the years.
