Obituary

Theresa M. (Caissie) Kearns, of Everett, passed away on her 92nd birthday on December 24, 2020 at 9:35 AM in Boston. She was born in 1928 and was the daughter of the late Fred and Eulalia (Poirier).   Beloved wife of the late John Kevin Kearns, Jr. Devoted mother of Kevin Kearns of Cumberland, RI and Jeanne Karvelas and her partner Tim of Raymond, NH. One of 8 children, she was the cherished sister of the late Rita McGuirk, Jeanne Caissie, Christina LeClair, Frederick Caissie, Albert Caissie, Melvin Caissie, and Delia McLaughlin. Loving grandmother of Jamie Rowe and her husband Jimmy, Jaclyn Dunn and her husband Thomas Jr., Jessica Karvelas, Emily Kearns, and Shannon Kearns, and great-grandmother of Frankie and Jack. She was a longtime employee of Everett Public Schools and a graduate of Revere High School.  She lived her life fully and took great pride in her family.  She deeply enjoyed various card games, bingo, line dancing, and joining her friends for lunch at the Armory.  She will be remembered for her devotion to her religion, positive outlook, sense of humor, independence, strength, compassionate and loving nature, and unbelievable memory. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Church in Everett on Thursday, December 31 at 10:00 AM, with a committal service to immediately follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa's memory may be made to: Make The Difference Fund, 800 Washington Street, #231, Boston, MA 02111.
