Theresa "Terry" Perry, age 88, of Saugus, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose warmth, faith, grace, and generosity touched all who knew her.
Terry was a proud resident of Saugus for over 60 years. She shared 63 loving years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jack Perry, who predeceased her. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, friendship, and love.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Sharon January and her husband Dennis, and Kim DiCicco and her husband Tony; her daughter-in-law, Susan Cargill Perry, wife of her late son, James Perry; her brothers, Robert Giannino and his wife Carolyn, and Kevin Giannino and his wife Phyllis; and her sister-in-law, Mary Giannino, wife of her late brother, Tom Giannino. She also leaves behind many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Terry was the proud and loving grandmother of Derek Stretton, Matt Perry and his wife Kelley, Jenna Perry, Tyler Stretton and his wife Megan, Ryan DiCicco, and Jessica DiCicco. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Tatum and Wells, with another great-grandchild on the way.
Terry worked for more than 20 years at Malden Hospital, where she served first as a Medical Secretary and later as a Staffing Manager. She was dedicated, compassionate, and hardworking, and she brought care and kindness to all she did.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Terry was a devout Catholic who was often asked by family and friends to offer special prayers on their behalf. She treasured her prayer stone from Medjugorje, which she held each night as she said her prayers. Her faith was a constant source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Terry was an amazing hostess, a wonderful cook, and a gifted baker whose special treats were always eagerly requested. She carried herself with elegance and took great pride in looking her best every day, always dressed in beautiful clothes and jewelry. She was a wonderful mother, a loyal friend, and someone who made every person feel welcome, cared for, and loved.
For the last two and a half years, Terry made her home at Cornerstone Assisted Living, where she truly thrived. She enjoyed participating in exercise, chair yoga, crafts, and nightly movies in the theater with the many friends she made there.
Though she suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, she was surrounded in her final days by her children, brothers, and sisters-in-law, held in love and prayer.
