Vincent Messina

Vincent James Messina Jr of Gardner, passed away on Wednesday September 18 from a brief illness. He was 53 years old. Vincent (Jimmy) was born in Cambridge on August 17, 1951. He was the son of Vincent James Messina Sr and Josephine (Vadala) Messina. Jimmy was the beloved father to Brooke (Messina) Barreira Brian Collins and father in law to Joseph Barreira Jr. 

In addition to his children Jimmy is the cherished  brother of Joseph Messina, Teresa Vadala, Mary Gardin, Elizabeth Roomian and the late Michael Messina. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Jimmy was an Engineer for the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department for over 30 years, retiring in 2014. Some of his passions were singing, cooking and baking. He was especially known for his homemade cheesecakes. Most of all he cherished his time with his family and friends.
